The hardest mountain challenge in Wales split over 2 days. This gives you time to recover in between, but is still a tough mountain challenge!
Hill walkers who would like to tackle a challenge, and want one scrambling day and one long arduous day trekking.
Pre event – We help you plan what mountain specific training elements you should include in the run up to your 2 day challenge. We will also include a detailed kit list of things you should have, and examples of these items.
During the event – Firstly, we will meet you the night before and have a check on everybody’s fitness. This is an excellent opportunity to go through last minute equipment issues, and maybe nutrition for on the hill.
After our brief rest bite we are off! Once again, the terrain will head towards the skies as we start our ascent of Pen Yr Ole Wen and with it our venture into the bleak undulating Carneddau massif; our final challenge! Although the terrain found here is more forgiving then that encountered on the other two massifs it comes when you are tired and psychologically the 13 km with 1800m going up is one long slog. The final sting in the tail is a short 3 kilometre walk back to the waiting support vehicle where more food and hot drinks can be consumed. Eat all you want guy’s you have earned it!
A post event debrief
